Winter book festival in Kazan will bring 10 thousand books


In the capital of Russia only yesterday ended the XX jubilee trade fair of intellectual literature non/fictio№20, and the capital of Tatarstan is waiting for the X-th book festival “Change”. At the Winter forum of books, held on 8 and 9 December in Kazan the Center of contemporary culture “Smena”, will be presented over 10 thousand books from 50 publishers.

According to the organizers of the book festival, contemporary and classical fiction, journalistic, scientific, popular scientific, documentary and children’s literature book lovers will be able to buy cheaper than the chain and online stores, as the book festival will allow you to make direct sales without margins of intermediaries.

Visitors of “Change” will propose a novel about the Stalin era “Rise” Nikolai Kononov, a new novel by W. G. Sebald “Vertigo”, “the History of Russian cinema in 50 films” Mikhail Trofimenkov, a continuation of the cycle of fashion historian Michel Pasturo “Red: the Story of colors,” a novelty in the genre of historical non/fiction – “the Templars: the birth and death of the great order,” Dan Jones, “Modernism. The lure of heresy” by the American historian and literary critic Peter Gaye and “Thoughts” is the last volume of the collected works of Dmitri Prigov.


Among children’s literature, parents will see “the Kidnapping of Prince Oleomargarine” by Mark TWAIN, the book “How the Museum”, explaining why the museums and art galleries it’s not boring. This year the Winter book festival devoted to the 5th anniversary of the Center for contemporary culture “Smena”, his theme was the future and the search for the answer to the question “What next?”.
