The cycle of performances based on the memoirs, letters and mentions of Kaluga places writer
In the Museum of the history of cosmonautics in Kaluga within the framework of the project “Theatrical Russia” was screened in the TV production of “Ivan Turgenev. Today!”. The show is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the writer, which is celebrated this year, said the TV channel GTRK-Kaluga.
The play consists of several parts. Shows key episodes from the life of that
influenced the personality and creativity of the writer. The play is based on memoirs, letters and documents of the writer, his family, friends, colleagues and contemporaries.
Elena Kuzina, head of the Department of the state Museum of the history of cosmonautics, noted that Turgenev’s works, written on the Kaluga land and people.
The performance is organized in the framework of the project “Theatrical Russia”, which introduces the audience to Russian cities with the best theatrical productions of the theatres of Moscow and Saint Petersburg in the live broadcast and recording.
Earlier it was reported about creation in the Kaluga region tourist route “the home of the Polecat and Kalinich”. In the village Seleznevo in Dzerzhinsk district, 24 km from Kaluga, was once the ancestral estate of Turgenev.
