Seventeen theatres from Russia, France and Switzerland will take part in the IV International children’s theatre festival “Marshak”, which will take place in Voronezh from October 27 to November 4, reported in a press-service of the show.
The festival in Voronezh, the birthplace of the famous children’s writer Samuel Marshak, will come to theaters from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Saratov, Petrozavodsk, Abakan, as well as from France and Switzerland.
Children’s forum “Marshak” created in 2015 and is conducted by the Directorate of the Platonov festival are known. In memory of the writer Samuel Marshak in the playbill of the festival must include the performances of his works. The program traditionally consists not only of the shows best performances in recent years for children, but educational, parts – lectures and master-classes of theatre teachers and Directors.
The curators of the show in the early years was Mikhail Bychkov (art Director Platonov forum) and Alex Malopolski. 2018 curator of the program was Barbara Korovin, a famous theatrical producer and an expert in the field of Russian and foreign theatre for children.
“We set an ambitious goal to become the largest children’s theatre festival in Russia. A few days of the festival we hope to show our audience of nearly 60 diverse performances that reflect the major global trends in the children’s theater… I’m sure in a couple of years to bring the whole family for an autumn vacation to Voronezh to see the best performances, for many, will become a tradition”, — said on the eve of the festival Korovin.
Festival “Marshak” is supported by the Government of the Voronezh region, the Federal centre for support of tour activities, the Union of theatrical figures of the Russian Federation.
