Large-scale festivities will be held from 3 to 5 November in Nizhny Novgorod and the village of Great Boldino
In the Russian Federation besides the Russian language, there are about 100 national written languages, 59 of which are literary — they created works of art published in books and magazines.
From 3 to 5 November, representatives of over 40 national languages will arrive in the capital of the Volga region from 25 regions of Russia to conduct meetings, readings, lectures and performances. Nizhny Novgorod will have a third cultural and literary forum-a festival dedicated to national languages and literatures of the peoples of Russia.
Special guests of the festival will be the poet Dmitry Vodennikov, literary critic and writer Lev Danilkin, the poet Maria Vatutina, chief editor of “Literary newspaper” Maxim Samsun, ethno-electronic collective of the Volga from Moscow.
3 Nov in bol’shoye Boldino will host the poetic performance Exegi monumentum. Festival participants will gather around a large fire, read poems and sing songs in national languages. Everyone can take part in the event of a unifying national culture of our country.
Specially for the festival, more than 20 Russian publishing houses and bookstores will present their best books at the publishing price.
The festival is held in the support Programme of the national literatures of the peoples of the Russian Federation. The first festival was held in 2017 in Moscow (within the Moscow International book fair), in August 2018 in Kazan (in celebration of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan).
