Andrei Bitov was born in Leningrad in 1937. Is one of the founders of postmodernism in Russian literature. The most well-known novel “Pushkin house”, in the USSR, he was not admitted to the edition. It was first published in the USA in 1978. Was one of the founders of the samizdat almanac “Metropol”, which published the works of famous Russian writers who have not passed censorship and not admitted to official publication. In 1986 he starred in the movie “Alien white and speckled” where he played the role of composer. In his filmed scripts “Little fugitive” and “on Thursday and never again”.
